Ah yeah they do! Good spotting. Two ridges are the average but some individuals have more or less depending. Kids also have less defined ones than adults. The little one in overalls will probably grow up to have two but for now they just have the one. Also I’m glad you like them! Thanks for asking

Aaaaayyyy you guys, i’m looking looking for some feedback here on these alien guys that i’m thinking about doing a story with. here are some quick doodles with color slapped on.

they do not look extremely interesting for reasons A) I want to draw them and if they are complicated i know i wont B) my style is not realistic b/c i am lazy and like cartoony looking things C)their planet and earth are extremely similar because again i am lazy and don’t feel like doing more research than i want to and D) it may actually be a plot point on how similar (at least in some respects) they are to humans

i just wanted to see if any of you think they look okay? i like them but a second opinion’s always nice! also if you want to know more about their species i really love worldbuilding and would appreciate the questions. ask box is OPEN and anon is ON if you are more comfortable using that

and before anyone asks

  • the head things are ear tufts, like a long eared owl. they don’t do much besides make them look bigger when they are angry or feel threatened. i just like how they look do not judge me
  • the in universe explanation for having full body hair is their planet is a bit colder on average than earth and their species never had any evolutionary pressure to lose it (real reason is it’s appealing 2 me)
  • do not ask “WHO BOY AND WHO IS GIRL”, their species does not work like that. but it is a plot point that humans at first read some morphs one way or another!
